If the cold isn't enough to create serious health problems—flu,
bronchitis, pneumonia, hypothermia—for people experiencing homelessness
in LA, the rain will. Every night this winter in LA County, tens of
thousands of men, women, and children are forced to seek shelter in
garages, warehouses, cars, parks, and even on city streets.
That's
why EIMAGO, Union Rescue Mission's subsidiary, works with Los Angeles
Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) throughout the area to offer
thousands of exhausted, desperate and hopeless people assistance and a
safe haven.
Please take a moment to watch our special video (link) on the winter refuge we provide for people who have no home.
Will
you please also consider making a special year-end gift today to help
provide food, shelter, and other emergency services to precious people
in need this winter? They need your help and so do we.
