Senior Vice President, Human Resources Board Member since 1989
James R. Simpson has been a member of the Union Rescue Mission Board of Directors since October 1989. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the Board.
Jim retired in 2001 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Risk Management for the Times Mirror Company in Los Angeles. Since retirement, he continues his association with the Times Mirror as a consultant on special projects. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Industrial Management in 1961, and the University of North Carolina School of Law – J.D. in 1972. Jim is a member of the California and North Carolina Bars and has served on the Boards of Directors of the Santa Marta Hospital Foundation, the Los Angeles Urban League, the California Employment Law Council and the Labor Relations Committee of the Newspaper Association of America. |
