Vice President of Human Resources

In October 2004, Mrs. Owens-George joined Union Rescue Mission as a Human Resources Coordinator, over the next two years was promoted to the Director of Human Resources and, one year later, finally promoted recently in January of 2008 to Vice President of Human Resources.

Robbin came to Union Rescue Mission with human resource experience from several sectors, including the medical, transportation and entertainment fields. In her role as Vice President of Human Resources, she is determined to exhort and edify the Union Rescue Mission staff to excellence and effect positive productive change within the Mission through effectual organizational development. Her motto is to do all things for the Glory of God, knowing that whatever a believer puts their hands to do in the name of the Lord they will have great success.

In 1993, Robbin graduated from UCLA with a BA in sociology, and then took a career change to work in the cosmetology field for several years. Prior to 2001, Robbin served with her church in ministry for over 10 years working and traveling closely with her pastoral staff on several ministry trips to outreaches across the country. Accepting the Lord at the age of 9, God has always been at the very forefront of her life. In 2001, Robbin returned to school to obtain her MBA. She graduated with this degree in 2003.

Her hobbies include cooking, hairstyling and singing. Robbin is a wife and mother to a wonderful husband Edwin and beautiful daughter named Zoe (born into their family in October of 2006). She also is blessed by the loving support of her mother and father as well.
